i am shopping for tints on my black 2000 TL and am considering some other color than the usual black. now i have heard about some folks saying how silver tints are ghetto, blah blah blah...but i want to see how silver tints would look on a black car...dont need to be an acura in particular but any car...if anyone has pics that they can share, that would be awesome.

silver tint looks good only on silver cars

 

I was told that 'platinum' which is slightly mirrored maybe what you are calling 'silver' would look very good on my WDP, but I just couldn't see it and passed. I originally inquired about the bronze which I though could look nice with the parchment interior, but I was talked out of it for the 20% Llumar black metal film. I love what I got, might have liked the bronze but was told I would grow tired of it quickly. Didn't get the Huberoptiks cause to get it dark enough for what I wanted, it was really mirrored from the outside and I didn't like that. Am considering that for the windshield only cause I don't want dark on the front, just less heat, so the mirrored effect won't be that noticable at all.

 

The 'platinum' or 'titainium' silver tint would look good on your
black car if you have some chrome wheels to go with the
'chromed' tint. The bronze stuff turns purple\lavendar after
a while...the Lumar tint is among the best out there. But if you
don't have chrome rims (or don;t plan on putting a set on) the
black Lumar tint is the way to go.

 

i think platinum tints and chrome wheels on a black car would be kinda tacky

 

i got 35% tint black a few mounths ago looks sweet my tls is WDP and i kinda regret not gettin mirror if u have a black car all black is sweet u can get the black that turns into silver but maybe a bit tackey...i think mirror on black would look sweet almost like a sweet pair of oakley sunglass silver lenses w black frames....just an observation but as far as black tint u cant go wrong good luvk
