Alright guys, some people go with the stock look, others aggressive, and then luxury. I want to go with the luxury look although be tech'd out. I got the avic-n2, i'm tinting got a pretty slammin system....


please help give some ideas to give it a cleaner look, yet scream luxury like a benz or something....i'll start the list off....and pics are always welcome to prove your luxury style

1. Cleared headlights (was going with the blacked but i think that says more aggressive and not luxury)

2. LED's in the dash

hope this threads a hit and some great ideas come in, not just for me but everyone

there is none...i got the car really cheap so I got some money to spend...if i feel the mod is worth it, it will be done (within reason of course) but all ideas are welcome....I enjoy really complex things like custom mod's for radio's and really simple things like "Inspire" on the back

I love the sidemarkers....it would take a serious DYI and full of details for me to work up the nerve to drill holes there but that's a mod worth doing i believe.....good ideas guys keep'm coming....so far we go

1. Cleared Headlights
2. LED's in dash
3. Sidemarkers
4. "INSPIRE" emblem (although i'm not sure about how luxury it is, it sure looks slick)

hmmm, you are saying that you want that luxury classy benz style look.

But everything you are describing that you want to get has nothing to do with it. (except the clear headlights). You are aiming more at an aggressive sleeper type of a ride. I dunno.

there is a lot you can do. If money is not a problem, go with a complete Value Kit. Some slick rims with big lip. Headers/intake/pulleys/exhaust...custom molded trunk with nice system going.

But if money is really not a problem, sell the TL, and go with a Benz like u wanted to.

You cant make an economy touring luxury class sedan (TL) make to look like a real high class sport luxury sport sedan (S class Benz)

C class benz is fine by me....but really about the headers/intake/pulleys/exhaust how many of those will not add to the cars sound.....i've been wanting to get an intake but didnt want the sound to go with it, although the icebox seems to be a good answer for that....but do the headers/pulley or exhaust add to the sound?

also, it doesnt have to only add "Luxury" style to the car, as long as it doesnt make it look more "aggressive" then it was before

Think about it. Why would headers or a pulley change the sound of a car? Only an exhaust system will or any CAI except a CompTech IceBox.

I would go with 745 side markers, they look more luxury IMO...
I know its a small mod, but chrome type s door sills made a big difference in my car. When ever people get in they comment on them.....

havent thought about the door sills, that's something i could do easy.....but i could have swore that headers did make a difference in sound....take it easy remember just a newbie

I have the one's from evodesign. They look alot better on the car than they did in the package. When I got the package I wasn't impressed at first, but after putting them in the car they really look nice.
I like the lighted one's too, but I thought that it might get old seeing those blue lights all the time. kinda ricey too.

How about lowering....if you lower it a little bit maybe a 1.5 front or so, dont yall think that it makes it look better yet not aggressive?

talking about door sills, what about those on ebay "made by an acura tl forum member" that light up....anyone have those or seen them....what type look to they give off

I would put in an anthracite or suede headliner if you want a little more luxury.

I have under dash lighting. When I open the doors it comes on and fades with the dome light, just like a Lexus (MB probably has this too) I also have footwell lighting that comes on with the parking lights. It has the same glow as the dash lights. Just a thought if you still want the Luxo end

How about reflectors in the side view mirrors?
Other then the asthetic benifets they're also great for warding off tired bicyclists. Plus they only cost a $1.45ea

a TL will never scream luxury.

but it can for sure look more luxurious.

first get a nice set of 19" wheels, then lower your car a good 1.5", then get comptech exhaust, dark tints, no bodykit, no spoiler, no cheap-ass shit like ractive sidemarkers and such, etc... that should be a good start.

mine does have the Type-S wheels.....what exhaust does he have on that...i'm not looking for a deep sound b/c i'd like the cabin area to be as quite as possible...i've taken every step to "soundproof" my cabin but i'm still being very careful about Intakes (icebox only) and headers and now exhaust
