I had a TL-P with TL-S rims. I put Dunlop SP Sport 5000's on. They were an excellent compromise as the offered great all-season service; they stuck like glue whether wet or dry and were serviceable in light snow. They're $137 each in the stock TL-S size at Tire Rack, when I bought them a year and a half ago they were $188...and worth every penny!

I have Bridgestone Turanza's on mine. I've had Potenza's but they wore too quickly... so I settled for the Turanza LS-H (only up to 130mph, but thats good for me, cause I dont need to go above that anymore!!!) Anyways, I've only had them 2 weeks, and I like them a lot. First wet traction experience tonite, and they stuck really well. I also went 215 instead of stock 205s.

i've had bridgestone potenza RE950s for the last 2 summers and i loved them. they stick like glue on both wet and dry, and they arent too loud. very good tires

btw they were 225/55-16s

im currently rolling on winter tires and im gonna get new bridgestone potenza RE750 (new one) next summer

they would be horrible for him in chicago. he has to drive in snow and those are a no no in snow! the sumitomo htr+'s and the continental conti extremes are great all season tires. get them from the tirerack
