need new tires!

I only have 17K miles on my TL-S (one year old) and some of my tires are almost gone.

I am not sure why some wore out more than the others. I have rotated them.

Does driving every day at 100mph make tires wear out more than normal?

a few months ago, I got a flat and had to buy a new tire, I was surprised that a stock tire cost $180

RE: Goodyear RS-A
I had Goodyear RS-A tires stock on my '98 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP. They were OK. But virtually everyone in the GTP community hates them.

The best stock tires that I have ever had were the Michelin XGTV4 on my '99 Chrysler 300M. There are also Pilot XGTV4 out there that are even better. But I don't think they make them in Acura TL's size.

try tirerack.com for Dunlop Sports A2

Only $78 a piece. OEM stock is also cheaper there.
Drop ship to a nearby shop to have them install for you.

Go to the tirerack and do a search - there are probably about 10 different tires in the stock 215-50-17 size now.

I have 225/45/17 (~215/50/17 but is cheaper than 215's) Pilot Sport XGT-H4 on a car that came with V rated tires , my V6 Accord.

For the money, they are great, as long as you don't drive more than like 130mph - H rated.

The best part of the H-rated for these tires is that they last about 48000miles of gentle driving, or about 30000miles of hard driving.
