Post NEED HELP SCRATCHES ALL OVER

This morning I woke up and I saw a lot of bird shiat on my car. I figure since it was a nice day I might take if off so my car wont look so bad. I went into my house and got some supplies. Some soap, water, a bucket of water, and a brillo pad. I took the brillo pad with some soap and water and scrubed my hardest to get the excrement off my vehicle. I then washed and dried my car when I noticed the bird poop had scratched my car all over the place! What should I do? This is what my friends girlfriends friend told me today! HOW STUPID CAN YOU BEEEE!!!!!!!! It was a 90 ford anyway but people can be so STUPID! Duh!

Just thought you might want something to laugh about.

I said the same thing.

Brillo pad?? WTF??

Then I read the rest...

I'm not trying to be sexist, but many women don't know how to properly care for a car.

Some ppl are just plain dumb.

You can rent a sand blaster to remove the scratches.

Brillo? Heck, I just use the edge of my car key.

I did totally scratch up the door on my Integra this past winter though when the door got frozen shut and I tried using the edge of my ice scraper to get the door jamb cracked open. It slipped on the icy surface and made a nice big diagonal scrape on the door. I thought it was just on the ice surface and even managed a few more cuts before I realized I had gone through the ice and onto the body. D'OH!!

Finally I used my head and just pissed on the door to melt the ice. Just kidding, I went inside the house and got some warm water in a spray bottle. But I have heard of parking lot emergencies where the solution was to whiz.

Leslie,
HEHE.. but I know that there are also many women who DO know how to care for their cars. I think that is very attractive.

I have to say that there are plenty of men who think they know how to do it as well but don't.

From the women I've talked to about this, they view cleaning the car is more of a chore. Unlike myself, I find that cleaning my car actually relaxes me - I'm a wierdo I guess.

Relaxing yes, chore - no. Now that I have a car worth washing I look forward to a sunny Saturday with the hose and a bucket of suds.

Cool

yah i love washing my car too - it's really kinda sick b/c I don't keep my house this clean LOL!
Last weekend I was at the auto parts place looking at polish and I made a friend of the owner of the place. He came over - typical - can I help you honey? - but thanks to all of you I could hold an intelligent conversation - he quizzed me on everything i was using - the other men there were slack-jawed - he even came out and looked at my car - it was funny/cute - he was practically teary-eyed.... so thanks everybody for the good advice!

I find washing\detailing my car a relaxing thing to do also, actually I love doing it.....I have washed it for 5 weekends in a row with this great weather. My wife thinks I am going to ruin the paint by washing it so often
She's just jealous cause I don't wash her Mustang as much as my TL!

LOL! I read it like 4 times too!!! That was funny. What's funnier is my ex-GF once really washed her parents car with a brillo pad! This was in HS. She came to school telling everyone...she was completely clueless!
