NEED HELP! passenger side low beam not working

i just bought a brand new D2r bulb from the dealer had it installed by my shop mechanic and i didnt notice till night that after about 30 seconds of being on the new bulb just goes out.

i went home and pointed my car at my garaged turned off my lights then turned them back on and saw the light starts to flicker very fast after about 20 seconds then just goes completly out.

i already have a ticket for this and i need to fix it fast

switch out the bulbs. if the right side flickers with the bulb from the left, then its the inverter box. dont buy it from acura though... they charged me 800 bucks installed

the inverter box has to be replaced..the HID kit is a xenon gas charge. If the ignitor/inverter box is weak, your light will flicker or not come on at all. i didnt have time to fool around with the car by switching the bulbs, the fresno acura diagnosed it 51 bucks. if you wanna go with factory parts, the inverter box runs for $762 installed. If its just the bulb, which i doubt it is the way you described it, the bulb would be over $200 installed. The least expensive route would be to find a thread where someone has switched out their factory HID kit with an aftermarket one, i know theyre out there. If you like the way they look (color and light output may vary) then shop around on e-bay for a kit. good luck

its called a `ballast` on the TL, it can be obtained from the private sales area on azine or the local junkyards will carry them too
Make sure the tech wears latex/rubber gloves handling the bulbs- finger oil ruins them
Oe bulbs are $150 each, aftermarket kaixen are $110 a pair! always replace bulbs in pairs

to test, you swap the bulbs left to right side of the car and if the problem follows the bulb its bulb
If you had moisture get inside the lens for the headlight- its leaked down inside and onto the ballast- killing it
Must repair the problem, not just the symptoms or results
