NEED HELP FAST: engine acting weird after mugen mods install

aight guys i need ur help ASAP.

i took off my intake manifold to install my thermoblock spacer kit today, along with a mugen thermostat and also the fan switch.

I installed everything, put everything back together, and start up the car.

the engine now makes a fucking woooshing sound, and it goes up and down from 3k to 1.5k rpm non-stop. (i shut it off after 2-3 seconds didnt wanna mess it up)

no lights are on.

WTF did I do??

ok i took off the intake manifold and noticed a huge leak at the EGR port, i fixed that, put the manifold back on and now it stills goes up and down, but the wooshing sound is gone.

any thought??

Yep, definitely a leak somewhere. Mugen cooling mods wouldn't do that, so we can rule those out as a cause of the problem.

unless the spacer is bad it shouldnt be causing any problem.

have you tried resetting the computer?

did you make sure all the surfaces were clean prior to installing the spacers.... no gasket material left over?

Best way to find out is to take everything off and match up the spacer to the IM and make sure the ports line up properly.
