AEM CAI broke

i was cleaning my car today and noticed the bracket on my CAI had snapped off taking a piece of the tubing with it leaving a nice hole in my intake. Should i just saw off the piping and make it short ram? I've hear AEM customer service blows so im not sure they'll refund it and i've had it for over a year i think.

That seems to be a common problem with the AEM. I've seen several broken on this site.

you can try their customer service, or take a piece of silicone hose and clamp it over the hole

to much movement from the engine(<--this is my bet), not enough give due to engine movement with bracket location. improper instalation? not every one has the problem so it may be a combination of things (like improper fitment and bad engine mount causing too much stress on it)???

same thing happened to me but it was due to improper installation from the dealer so i got a replacement and installed it myself. Yea, you cant tighten it too tightly on the bracket part or else all the movement will cause it to snap.
