What year is your car? If it's below 2002 I suggest you take it someone with a torque wrench and knows what they're doing. The bolts get rusted onto the rotors and are almost impossible to get off sometimes. It won't mess with the ABS it's pretty simple to do. Just unbolt the caliper and the two bolts that hold the rotor and swap em out.

Buy lots of WD-40 as well.

You will not mess up your ABS system, but do obtaing an Impact Screwdriver and a C-Clamp, getting those screws out is a bitch.

there are a few DIYs, just do a search on it.

good luck! and happy new year!

I just replaced my rear rotors two days ago, and I had to drill out the phillips head screws that hold the rotors on. I used enough lubricant to drown a horse, but I still on managed to get one bolt out. The others ending up stripping out, so I just drilled them.

Do like TeknoKing says and try an impact screwdriver 1st. This is what I used to get them off on my 00 Civic I had before this car. You will have to sit there for about 5 minutes beating the hell out of them, but they will eventually break free---I thought I was going to knock the car off the jackstands from hitting them so hard. Of course once I got the rotors turned, I went to the dealer and bought new mounting screws for 4 bucks since I boogered up the screw heads.

I just replaced my front rotors and I had to drill out the screws since I don't own an impact screwdriver, but I *do* own a drill. According to others on this forum, the screws didn't need to be replaced, so I didn't.
