try www.warrantydirect.com, they are great to work with, i have a warranty for my grand am with them. They might b e priced slighty higher but the are back by interstate which is one of the largest insurers. Some of the small companies go bankrupt such as warrantygold and you are left with a worthless peice of paper.

Call Pohanka Acura in Chantilly - 703-968-6600. My car is a 00' TL, and at the time (about a month ago), my mileage was 49K. The Acura warranty is 4 years or 50K, and my car had entered service in December of 99 (4 years, 9 months ago), so technically my car was out of warranty. They hooked me up and sold me the TotalCare, 100K or 36 more months, plan for about $1500. They may be able to help you too. I would be careful and stay away from 3rd party warranty dealers since not all repair shops take cars under 3rd party warranties, and some companies are hard up about paying for warranty work.

Additional helpful information - Extended Warranty
Extended Warranty from Acura.
You can purchase an extended warranty from your Acura dealer anytime up until your factory 4 yr/50K warrany runs out. Just ask to see the finance dept and they will be glad to sell you one. There is a surcharge of $90 if you have more than 24K and a $120 surcharge if you have more than 36K. If you have less than 24K the warranty also come with a "money back guarantee" meaning if you don't ever have any work done under the warranty, Acura will refund the cost of the warranty in full on the date the warranty expires as long as you still own the car. This is a pretty good deal (free if you don't use it).
Helpful Hint - Acura tends to deeply discount the price of the warrany (they knocked $1000 off mine) if you are having 'trouble' with the car or are not satisfied with extended ownersip for some reason. (ie..you have had a series of problems and are nervous about keeping the car past the factory warranty period). So have your story/history planned prior to negotiating the purchase price of the warranty.
Hope this helps.

There's also a website where you can purchase the 7/100 Acura TLC warranty. I think its Curry Acura. I have a 00 TL w/ 48k on it and it priced out for me at around $1200 I want to say. I would recommend going to your Acura dealer like a previous poster said and go talk to the F&I guy. I have a relative in the car business and you can really negotiate the price of these warranties. They are mostly sheer mark-up. They will probably be more than willing to sell it to you very cheap since you just popped in there for service or something and bring in unexpected revenue not associated with any vehicle sale--especially if times are slow. They would rather have a $100 unexpected profit than nothing. Just go in and see what they can do. It won't hurt. I may do the same actually. I'm not paying $1200 but If they could come way off that I would consider it.

That site is www.curryacuracare.com You can price a warranty based upon your year and mileage. It's still very expensive, so talk to your dealer 1st. I'm about to e-mail them and get a quote.

Sorry to keep posting, but I've done some e-mailing to dealers about a quote on this warranty. My car has about 48,200 miles on it, originally leased in PA at the end of Dec. 2000. I've heard some of you guys say you paid as low as $600 when you bought it new (as in seeing the F&I guy's computer screen and landing it ultra cheap as a result!). I know some have paid for the warranty originally when new for $1200+. I realize the older the car is, the more it will cost. Have any of you guys purchased this 7/100 TLC warranty w/ the $50 deductible and landed it for around $700 w/ the kind of mileage my car has? I don't know that I'll get one, but of course, I want the cheapest I can get. They are just mark-up for the most part. Just wondered what you guys paid if you bought yours way after the fact.

Try www.warrantybynet.com / I have no problems with this company. Zero Deductable. I can take my car to any licensed shop for warranty work and they pay the shop with a credit card for the job done.
