Need advice on replacing transmission

First off, I keep getting check engine light codes for "A/T System Malfunction" and "T.C.Clutch System Failure". I had my transmission replaced on Feb 21 2008 and only had a one year warranty with "H and H", the company that made the tranny. Now, do you guys think they'll replace my tranny for free since its only about a month and a half out of warranty. Second, would you guys say its worth it to drop another 3k on a second transmission, or should i just get a new car?

The mechanics that checked it out didn't notice any slipping or any problems while driving it, neither did I. Could it be a faulty sensor or something?

have the shop that did it check it now
There is a switch that goes bad- a good shop should be able to find the real problem

The manager can work with you since its only a month past warranty.. and you are online telling peolple about the problem
Good results get good feedback online!

salvage title? or over miles?
why did h&h do the rebuild, not an acura replacement under warranty?

It was a rebuilt title so it was out of warranty the first time the tranny went out. The shop checked it out last week and didn't find any problems after driving it, but now the light turned on again. I'm just getting some opinions since I can't get in contact with the shop until Monday. The car has 74k miles. Worst case scenario, would it be worth it to replace the tranny AGAIN? or invest in a new car?

if its not slipping or hard shifting in2nd-3rd,, you most likely have an external part needs replacing
another member had similar thing after fluid change--go figure
but they looked up the sensors and selenoids and figured out which it needed- 50 bucks later it was fixed

salvage title with a dead trans has little resale value beyond as a parts car
How much a new car cost- payments insurance etc is crazy--

get it looked at by another shop familiar with this type of trans and see what really wrong

salvage title and rebuilt titles are two diff things. once u fix a salvage tittle car and it passed an inspection u get a rebuilt title. yes, u wont be covered under warranty (if its still valid depending on year and miles), and resale value isnt as good as a clean title but its still a lot cheaper to buy than a clean title car if you know how to inspect it your self before u buy it.

op, dont clear the codes. bring it to the shop for them to scan it and find the problem. be kind to them and the manager and maybe he can work something out with you and the warranty company

Testing and diagnosis need to come first!

driving and not feeling any thing wrong and the car throwing codes are 2 different things. The shop NEEDS to find whats wrong and repair the trans. Problem is you are outside the warranty and they probably wont. The codes popping up (especially the tq code) is/are early signs of failure.

YES SIR, my friend with his 99 TL, had the same issue and he has about 130,xxx on his tranny. His tranny wouldnt shift out of first, but he changed the sensor right by the tranny and the car is back to normal......
