I'm dropping my car off at the dealer tommorow for warranty service (replace my 4 vinyl window frames and replace my driver seat leather).

Now, is there any other things that bound to need replacement ? I heard the door pillars usually fade away and should be replaced but what else ? I have about 500 miles left on my factory warranty, need to fix whatever needs to be fixed before it expires.

I dont think the certified warranty covers this so I need to get whatever I can done.

I didnt tell him anything, my leather looked pretty good, but the service manager when he inspected my car said, since the leather starts to crack a little he will "good will" replace it while my car in the shop for the vinyl frames.

i had my headlights changed last week (both of them) all warrantied..
just told them condensation was getting in..they said okay and fixed it and even gave me a rdx as a loaner

you guys have some nice dealers. i have never heard of people getting these things replaced under warranty.

My car is going in for the door pillars on Wednesday. Make sure all your bulbs, seat heaters, TRANNY work well.

can you tell me which dealer you go to? i have peeling pillars and the fog light indicator is out. i thought since i have 65k miles warranty would no longer cover it.

HOLY SHIT, I called a diffrent Acura dealer in my area just to find out how much does it cost to replace the leather on the seat, both pieces bottom & back + labor is $1200 ...... I'm speechless, never in my life would I thought it would cost this much!

Good lord, I cant believe my dealer would even think about replacing it, but they did!

I have a question, they said instead of re-applying the new vinyl tape to the window trim, they are going to paint it because it will last alot longer, the new tape will just bubble up again later on.

So is it better to get it painted ? or what ...

if you havent had your tranny replaced. tell them it f ucks up or something. my friend brought in his car because he had to get something replaced. and they asked him if he wanted his tranny replaced. and he said yea, and they got him new tranny. ahhaha. i cant believe it was that easy for him. his old one didnt even have a problem.

i have about 140miles till i hit 100k...BUUT my car outlived the 7year warranty but how in the world you get your window frames and door pillarts replaced?!?!! ...i think i might have one of the oldest TL on this forum. may 1999

I showed them the defect and they repalced, they didnt want me to talk shit about them anymore to Acura so they decided to give me a superb customer service.

I'm happy with them so far despite them to have keep my car till Tuesday, the new leather they put on my drivers seat looks super nice!

Smithtown Acura. My car is a "certified pre-owned" So I have a bumper to bumper until 6/08 or 65k. If you are still under warranty they will replace it.

They paint it because it will just do the same thing over and over again.

Certified warranty is only 12/12k miles, not 12/15k miles. So once your Factory warranty runs out, you have till 62k miles till that one expires as well.

They seem to repainted mine, I saw it and it looks no different then the tape looked.
