navi update dvd
first you need to determine which version you have- turn key to ON, then remove disc from trunk unit- it will say 3.2 or something and be a certain color like blue or orange, they vary between years so you cant use just any disc.
Put disc back in and start car to reload nav- be in open air space so nav can lock in.
Then go to acura.com and the buy nav disc section- http://www.navigation.com/is-bin/INT.../Default-Start
there is a list for each version update of what cities were updated.
Find when your area got it and thats the version you want
Ck the Black Market- Private Sales on here or ebay for the version you want
50 bucks is usual price for an old disc, must be the right version whether its v2.something 3.~~ 4. ~~ and same color or it wont work
There are no special added features on any of the updates, just new city info/streets and more POI for gas and food
200 sounds like a lot for a disc but its like buying a new portable nav unit, every few years you get a new one...its part of owning a TL- just wait till it needs maitenance!
Since you have an 03- make sure if its recall covered on the timing belt pulley
call 1-800-382-2238x5 thats acura customer care center- register as the car owner and ask about recalls all completed and any special extended warranty in effect like SRS for gen2

There's a thread on the CL side giving warning to recent updates.
The company that updates the Discs transferred from Alpine to Pioneer. The older Alpine discs work great, but the new Pioneer ones work like shit.
Serious problems with the software.
I want to update my Navi too, but I don't know the year at which the manufacturer was switched.
