Navi to PS2

Hi Guys,

I will be heading down to vsokolov's shop to convert my navi to ps2.
Before I go, I wanna know if I would void any warranty's or mess up my car in any way by doing this? Does this affect my navigation in anyway?
I have a 2003 TL SSM Type S. I will post pics soon. Any opinions on this would be much appreciated.
Thanks!

umm, it'll prolly void the warranty on the nav big time.....but.....do what we all do, have no fear. ....think positive....you could always remove/reverse it if something big happens.

What kind of video convertor are you going to use? If you get the convertor that doesn't require any cutting, slicing, or soldering, it's won't avoid the warranty. But if you cut the wire harness or do some modification on the wire and it cause the problem, of course the acura won't pay for the problem.

If you get plug and play converter and something happens, you can always put it back to stock and play dumb when you go to the dealer.

Here's a sample of plug & play video convertor for our TL.

he uses a RGB converter... hes gota cut the wires in teh back of the navi player... and splice/solder the RGB wires into the navi wires... soo yes it will void the warranty, but say for some reason the navi is not working correctly when the RGB is connected in, you can just take it out and re-attach/solder the orginal wires back together... its not a big deal... you should be finee... everything is gona be fine when you turn on ur first movie

I am using same convertor. Since you're cutting, splicing, and soldering the wireharness, if there's problem w/navigation system later and you bring it back to the dealer as stock, they probably will not cover it since somebody already worked on it. My .02 cents

That's why it's always good to use plug & play components.

Thanks Guys for the help. I wonder if Vsokolov will use the plug and play convertor. I'm gonna ask him. I really want the ps2 in my car.

Anyone else know of a place I can install with a plug and play convertor? I live in Philly. Somewhere I can drive to? Please let me know. Thanks!
