Yeah man, i have a disc prior to 2.11 and the voice is horrible...it sounds like a PC reading something to you. I've heard 2.11 and it's much much better. Cant wait to get 2.20.

I just got an email from them. They have STOPPED all shipments from the warehouse until they can figure out why the receipt indicated 2.11c. They thought they'd have things resolved later today.

I called this morning, and I was told even though my internet receipt says 2.11, they are sending me 2.20 (we will see.) I ordered it next day delivery and I have recevied a delivery conformation number (so again we will see.) Mine may have gotten out the door before they started putting a hold on orders. I'll let everyone know how it sounds. Good luck to all of us.

What's new on the 2.20 compared to 2.11c?

"Product Highlights:
Nationwide rural city coverage
4 million new points of interest
New improved shopping category. "

Changes don't seem very significant. We'll see when I get it next week and make a backup. I'm sure someone here will report out by then. Let me know what to expect next week!

Just need to have a dual layer burner...for the DVD+R DL disk so it can be read in the stock navi system.

I found that Toast for Mac using a +R DL disc at 2x seems to cause the least amount of "error boots" on the system, at least with 2.11c. Media wise, Imation seems to read everytime. Just in case you want to, you know, use your backup copy.....

Dye color on the DVD+R discs may be causing this as well....just an idea. I have a G4 and i dont think there has been a single thing i haven't been able to dupe perfectly. Dont have the DL DVD drive in the mac though :-(

is it true that updating the navi version will make it lag more?

I would agree with that statement if you look at it like this:

a.) The LCD display has more detailed information (roads, icons, etc) to display on the screen at any given time since they have added more content

b.) The program is more complex because of a.) and the addition of new features.

These and i'm sure other things could potentially slow down the system...i'm not sure if it's based on a processor or not..i have no knowledge beyond knowing that there is an LCD that displays the information and it reads directly from the disc in trunk. ;-)

LOL. I'll let you in on a secret junior....hehe..i've got nearly a wife and lots of bills, $175 is a lot of money to me now. The cost of owning a woman these days is astronomically more expensive than owning an Acura. Both statements are sad but true for most guys

Since the update to DL, (more maps/detail,etc.) it does become slower. I don't really notice it- although it does indeed slow down a bit; NOTHING MAJOR!

I just got my Navi 2.20 disk, I noticed when I checked the version number on the Acura Navi system it said version 2.11.25. Anyone know why it doesn’t say version 2.20? The disk has 2.20 written on it. I’m updating from 2.05.

I think it's about time we shut this down before things get out of hand. We do know that piracy is illegal...right?
