150k shouldnt have an effect of 25hp loss which is what im estimating his parts are worth, if the car is at least decently kept...

I thought the 2G TL-S puts down between 195-200whp stock?? Or at least that's what all the other dyno charts on Azine I've seen in the past show.

I think the CL-S 6speed manual has 215-220whp stock.

What numbers are you guys putting down with your mods?

i dont think the TL-S would lose 60 hp to the wheels, 195 is closer to what TL-P's put down to the wheels
check what was mentioned above.. for your mods.. this doesnt sound right

I see, maybe those numbers I saw were on a dyno dynamics. I'll check it out.

Here's a link to guy with a few more mods than me. His pull was 235whp.

that sounds about right for the TL-P

but 195-200 is not where a TL-S should be

Actually, the TL-S stock is about 195 to 200whp. The 260hp rating is old anyways, it's more like 248hp if you use the revised SAE standards, just like how the 3g TL was re-rated from 270hp to 258hp.

correct so if u callculate 20-25% drivetrain loos thats about 200whp. Get some more mods. I put down 248whp SAE corrected. Exhaust really helped. Doin some more mods soon to make some more powah LOL

just to clear it up.
260HP is to the engine
take away about 20-25% of that do to the auto trans and thats close to the WHP you get.
so stock is about 195-205 whp depending on engine condition.

my 02tls 70k, with intake resonator removed, drop in k&n filter, dc sports headers, i put down 225whp and 189 tq. i might of had the im and tb spacers but dont remember

so OP, your number are good. i think u could have done 230whp

well shit... kinna makes me not even want to put in my type S motor.. 200 to the wheels is a handfull worse then i though.. i thought 220 for sure.. but if you go with 25% i guess thats right

do you gain like 10-15% of that back with the 6 speed?

6 speeds seem to be 20+ or so more hp to the wheels.

The auto can put down 225-250 pretty easy with mods (I/H/P/E) and a tune.

im just gonna shove some bolt ons under there and spray a 50-75 shot and call it a day..

it wont ever catch my other 2 cars but at least it'll be more fun to drive.

i have yet to "test" my car against anything but the timer at the track.. now i know better if anyone ever tries to provoke me...

Yeah 5AT ftl We also have alot of weight going against us haha. Might as well just leave it as it is, a freeway cruiser. (Besides headers and intake because they are cheap for the gains/throttle response) 6-speeds have potential. Seen a few of those fully bolted CL Type-S making well over 250whp.

Even the 6speed 03+ Honda accords or the new BMW 328xi both with 230hp will hang with or even best the 5AT TL-S and 2G TLP 5AT.

Supposedly with the boltons we should be able to hit mid-high 14's at best. Maybe one day i'll see lol.

^^^ LOL Yea the motor is strong its just a really heavy car and once you start taking out padding and other stuff to lighten it up, it loses its luxury feel. Once I throw my 6 speed in I should be able to hit mid 13s. Just off the fact of it being about 200-300lbs lighter and less drivetrain loss. Plus we have a few people pioneering all types of new parts to make better power for it.

Intake, Headers, no cat, 2.5 inch exhaust, lightweight pullies, Intake manifold spacer, and an engine with only 10K on it. I'll be adding egr block off next week and once i get the swap done Ill be port matching everything u could imagine i.e headers-exhaust manifold, intake stuff, bored TB and 4 inch intake

I see, very impressive. Are you still on the 5 speed auto? And geez only 10k on the motor?!?!? Is your car that new or did you blow ur old motor?

Wow that thing is gonna be an all motor beast.

Thats the plan Yea im still 5 speed auto 6 speed swap shuld be dun by then end of april pending the arrival of parts.I blew the old motor when I had it supercharged and fortunately I was still under Acura warranty and they gave me a new motor for free. :whew:

My goal is to break my boy's record. He just ran a 13.3 @ 105 in a cls6. Im also tryna break his dyno record he put down 270whp.We been pioneering some J series stuff over here in the DC area. WE have J33s,J35s,J36s,and aJ37 runnin around out here. All making close to or over 300whp untuned. We are working on tuning. Also got an M90 eaton supercharger kti in the works for the J series for $2K

Me forking out $2k for a supercharger sounds very possible. I might keep this car forever as a DD. Fix whatever needs to be fixed.
