Just remember most sanctioned race cars are safter than any street vehicle. Just look at all the requirements for diameter and guage of tubing, padding, helmet requirements, seat belt requirements (I'm talkin' 5 point harnesses), fire bottles, anti-rollover aerodynamic bodys, fuel cells, Lexan windows. If I recall correctly; a NASCAR Winston Cup car is only 58lbs. lighter than out w/o Navi. On our car we have comfort out the wazoo compared to all that weight being put into performance AND safety gear.

I agree sanctioned race cars are not exempt from injury or fatalities.

10 months...it says it all~

if ur friends got into accidents every a couple months, then they will probably spend the rest of their life in wheel chair by age of 25...eeerrrr...or by 20...

it's better to have a clean, safe driving record rather than tons of speeding tickets and high insurance preminum~

that's probably a better thing to be proud of...at least to me~

if ur friends urges u to go for a race, DON'T!!! i have seen so many of these b4, and either one of them ended up into accident....

my friend drives a Maxima and always asked me for a race, i just laugh it off coz i don't want this to happen to my friend...and i know i can take him every day~

I'm now getting atleast 375km in the city, before the gas light even comes on.
what the hell??? if i get such mileage i would drive myself crazy!!!

when i was driving the 3.8L buick i was getting roughly 13-14L/100km in city with a heavy foot

since i got the TL, i was getting 11-12L/100 km constantly with no worse than 13L/100km even i drove hard~

summer times i would even get 9.5-10L/100 km on hwy~

A Winston Cup (Nextel) stock car weighs in at 3,500lbs. and an 03' weighs in at 3,558lbs. The weight of the Cup car is distributed a lot more evenly.
