Is my rear motor mount bad? video and pics inside.

ok, REAR mount. today i was inspecting my rear motor mount, its got about 87500 miles on it and doesnt seem be be leaking fluid. i had my front and side mount replaced about 6k miles ago.

the two videos below show me rocking the car back and forth while its in park, engine turned off.

http://s437.photobucket.com/albums/q...=Video0035.mp4

http://s437.photobucket.com/albums/q...=Video0036.mp4

pics are below

from underneath:

top:

Besides some rust i cant see anything wrong with them. i think they move wayyy to much in the videos. next i might post a video of my holding the brakes and giving it some gas in D5.

should i replace the rear mount?

thanks

this is video of the car running D5 and R holding brake.
it looks like the engine moves too much, more than an inch.

http://s437.photobucket.com/albums/q...=Video0039.mp4

the car drives with jerky kinds of motions from a stop, and when throttle is returned from costing.

From the videos the rear mount is moving too much. The rear mount is definitely bad.

if your current mount has the vacuum line to it for its vac booster, make sure the new one has it too
ck the line for damaged ends or leaks

how can you tell if your buying a mount the does or doesnt have the vac booster. i cant find any mounts that indicate so. i order a rear motor mount anchor #9149, put 03 tl-p as selected vehicle, hope its got the vac boost.

If the mount is OEM replacement, then it should be almost the same design, I think.

Update

assclown, got the new mount and installed it (pain in the ass), hear are some shots comparing it to the old one:

OLD MOUNT:

NEW ANCHOR MOUNT:

BOTH:

INSTALLED:

you can see the new mount is slightly different, looks like its designed a little better with more rubber coverage and firmer top base. the top is a little smaller but i doubt that has any neg effect, possibly even reduces tq, since its rubber stoppers are closer to the inside, less distance = less tq.

now thats left is to put the strut bar back on and go for a test drive.

^ i heard they were giving people problems, but ill need others to chime in on that.

As for the oem replacement mount i got, by anchor, i just went for a test drive and all seems very well. It doesnt move barely an inch right now, and feels firmer. hope it holds up.

i think i need a new front mount, it moves too much, only has 6k on it too installed by acura of reading pa when i got my tranny replaced, what a shame.

depending on how long and how hard you were on your engine while your rear mount was blown, could have accelerated the wear on the front mount too i imagine

looks like a good deal, i wonder whats different about the after market mounts compared to the honda ones. mine is defiantly stiffer and transfers more vibrations than my old mount, thats a plus for me. I like the new mount, just hope it holds up.
