Here it is....... I was all happy today to get my car lowered with tein basics. Today at 3pm I dropped off my car so the shop "Car Trenz" can install my tein basics. I got picked up by my brother and we chilled at his house til they call me when the install is done. I get a call at 7pm..... The damn dude tells me they took the car apart and come to find out that they ordered me Tein Basics for a 97 cl! SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO they said they going to have to put my car back together....... I go there and they tell me they have to order the right part on Monday and it will be there the Monday after next! Then I have to make another appointment to get it installed. THENNNNNNNNN, the installer tells me I got warp rotors and that needs to be replace and that I should save up for a new tranny because it's going to go soon. WTF? My tranny seem pretty smooth to me. Maybe sometimes it can shift alittle hard here and there but damn! Why you have to tell me this? I'm also blown that I won't have my damn car lowered by the time I go to the car meet.

 

get a second opinion unless your possitive this place is reputable ...its happened to me way to many times.. with my accord they said i needed new rear rotors and pads.i told them to change them and before i paid the bill i asked them for the old ones bck.. aftr mny escuses like ohh we discarded them already.....they finnally show up and i looked at them and realized that the old rotors are perfectly fine...so i walked out of there with new rotors and free brake pads for life.....yes i reported to BBB also.

Any idea what they were going to charge you for the install? I had vertex motorsports in Mclean install my apexi ws coilovers. Is Car Trenz still in Rockville or have they moved? I didn't know they still existed.

 

The install is 450 including alignment. They are still in the same place. Bad service though.

 

The thing is that I don't think anything is wrong with my tranny. It shifts smooth to me. I didn't ask him why he thinks that though.

 

Take it to Tischer or Rosenthal and have them check the ecu for codes. I guess 450 isn't a bad price including alignment. I paid like 2 something at vertex I believe.

 

Actually I already got it test. It was the cat converter. I replaced it but the light came on again with the same code. I'm guessing it's the o2 sensor. What do yall think?

 

Could be. My check engine light was on like 4 weeks ago(actually came on driving home from work) and the next day I took it to Tischer, they replaced the O2 sensor and the light went off. Gas Mileage increased also.

Damn thats alot for an install and you bought the teins from them I paid 125$ for my install and then 55$ for my custom alignment .

 

Bro, back in the day, I bought some car accessories from them. I decided soon thereafter to return the parts. They were very shady about the whole thing. I remember he opened the package which I had not opened and asked me if I opened it. Then, he told me that I could not return the item. I never went back to them again. I would stay away from Car Trendz. They are not very friendly and the service they give you sucks. They also try and rip you off. I had a bad experience with back in the day.

Yeah , Their service sucks and everything is way overprice , they have a lot of crappy stuff with ridiculous prices. I bought an alarm from them, which they installed too . I started having electrical problems with my car right after that. The car was so messed up I had to get rid of it .

 

I'm having the bumper replaced and repainted because someone rammed in to the back of my car on Friday while I was on the way to work . Hopefully I'll have my car back by the meet this coming weekend.

 

Who's doing the work?

 

Falls Church Autobody in Falls Church VA. That is where all the cars from Radly Acura are sent for bodywork. I might ask them to repaint my front bumper (at my expense of course) while the car is in the shop. I've been thinking of getting the front repainted for a while because of all the stone chips on the front. Acura paint is so thin!
