Is my car lowered?

Hi.
Because I bought an used car, I don't know if this car is lowered or not and I was wondering if you guys can figure this out for me.
It is 02 TL-S and it has about 2.5 finger gap between the tire and the fender line. 2.5 finger gap is pretty low, righgt? I don't know if it is supposed to come like this since it is Type-S, or they are lowered??
thanks in advance.

Before I can give a solid answer, I'd like to know first what wheel & tire combination you have? Give specifics...since if you don't know if it's lowered or not...I'm almost positive you wouldnt know what the "real" OEM package is.

So with that said...you can start by reading the side of tire...brand & size and come back to us.

But, my TL is type-S. Doesn't TL-S have lowered suspension compare to TL-p?

TL-S does have a slightly lowered stance. But 2 1/2 finger stance is pretty low for stock. What you might have is the H&R OE.

that's what i had in mind too.

for stock it's about 3 and 1/2 finger gaps in the front and 2 in the back.

my car, its a tl-p so you could fit a whole fist in the front and 4 fingers in the back. but i never saw the gap in a type-s with stock suspension.

thanks.

Then it's lowered. I agree with moahdriven here. When my car was stock I could put 4 fingers in the front wheel well.

Does 1 finger = 1/2 inch? What is the guesstimate on this? Can somebody get a tapemeasure out? How much does lowering it affect the ride? I like the road mannerisms of my stock TL but I don't think it looks aggressive enough like a BMW 5 series. I had a 02 Maxima SE but it didn't have 4 wheel independent suspension and when it hit a bump in the road it could shake loose a filling in your teeth.

ok
an easier test for ya to find out

try to go 30mph on a speed bump or a high ramp or even a steep driveway, if no scrapes then it's not lowered
