So my 2001 TL is in the process of getting a WW lip kit installed and my Apex'i exhaust system is rubbing against the rear lip and my guy at the body shop is worried that the tips will melt the paint or possibly the polyurethane even. What is a reasonable price to have the mufflers adjusted (or pipe bent?) so they are centered? I'm not too familiar with the process

 

cant you adjust the hangers?

Go to the nearest auto parts store and get longer rubber hangers and do it yourself for a few bucks. They make them in a range of lengths.

 

hangers only adjust vertically though.. the tips need to be moved slightly outwards as well. how can i fix that?

muffler shop. u probably gonna need to cut them and move them more apart.

 

what is a reasonable price to pay for that?
