Took my car to service today for those annoying rattles and squeaks and they gave me a crappy Mazda 626 as a loaner, what a POS!!! To make it worse, it has windows sticker on it too!! WTF!!! Mad PISSED!! Well, hope they can fix my problems.

 

I got a bottom of the line Toyota Corolla .

 

Man, they tried that same B/S with me, the first time... I *****ed and told them, if they want to keep my reports on service good they should give me a comparable car, I didn't spend 35k to get a loaner worth 10% of that... they responded quite well, giving me 2-02 tl since then... once they even held the one that matched my color....I just call a few days ahead of time to remind them too!!!

 

I think they do that on purpose....give you a low-end loaner so you'll appreciate your TL more when you get it back, and gripe less about the little things.

It doesn't work on me.

 

I accually said that to the general manager (Oakland Acura) about people on this board saying that they give us crappy loaners so that we could appreciate the car more when we get the back. He replied back saying that it really has nothing to do about anything other than business costs. He said if he could, he would give out better loaners more often, but the bottom line is that it just simply isnt cost effective.

 

I wonder why Acura doesn't use Hondas as loaners. I wouldn't mind getting a recent-year Accord V6 (even LX) for a loaner instead of a beat-up Integra.

When I took my TL-S in for the recall and some warranty work I told them that I didn't care what kind of loaner they gave me. Just needed to get to work and back, you know? What I got was a new Mitsubishi SUV. Nice ride; no power.

Be happy that the dealer was cool enough to give you a loaner. It's a LOANER...like AlaskaAl said...it's only to get you back and forth so you can go to work. Sheesh.

 

I once drove my friend's 325i to dealer for service...

Last time I got a TL-P for the day. I drove it to work. Parked it all day. Drove it back to the dealer. A 626, Protege, or beater Teg would have accomplished the same thing.

I'll bet it sure beat walking or even the courtesy shuttle.

 

Picking up my TLS after work. They claimed that they fixed all the rattles!! I guess I have to wait and see what happens. Wish me luck!

 

Damn Charles a 626??? I hope u took a picture of that thing. I've got the appointment for Park Ave on Sept 10 to get my creaks and squeaks fixed that day.

 

They always give me a 2001 Intergra GS, maybe i can get the RSX now.
