Post Much Improved braking

Thanks to all who made suggestions to me when I was looking to do a quick upgrade on my brakes. Since we have alot of newbies around, I figured i'd make a quick post...
I got the crossdrilled front rotors and the AxisMetal master pads fro front and rear from Snook -www.acura-tl.com, AND I got new wheels and tires (with more rubber on the ground than stock) and the braking is INCREDIBLE! The wheels kinda just "fell into my lap" as I started looking, so I got those before my brake parts, but I finally got everything in. I have no way of actually testing and getting figures, but the feel of the brakes are unchanged, only the efficiency that they stop. ABS has not been affected either, not that i expected that anyways. I hope this post will help others improve their TL's braking as well. Peace!

The G-tech device does braking meaurements as well. How come we haven't seen any postings on these yet, just 0-60. Car and Driver ripped the TL for lousy braking due to the Energy tires. So it would be interesting to see a before and after post.

Thats why i got brakes. yeah, I remember everyone ripping on the stopping ability of the car, and I figured it had to be them $hitty tires. I like Michelins usually, but these were definitely made for those guys getting 400 miles plus per tank. I couldn't wait to upgrade.
Snook/Slvr ->I'll shot digital pix tomorrow morning or the fronts since I only got the front rotors. They look cool, should have gotten another color tho, like black, was not thinking too clearly, just wanted to stop better at the time. Now I want to paint the calipers...
Jyoo-> I was lazy so I had a small shop install the pads and rotors for $110.

Yeah.. I think it's the stock tires. After I got my 18" rims, my braking improved a lot. And after the H&R OE springs were installed, my braking is really good. But with your brakes, I guess you can stop on the dime, eh!? ...looking forward to the pix.

First time replying, but had to comment on Snook's car. Have 2002 TL-S Pearl White w/nav on order. Expect it in March.
Love the wheels, can I get some info?
Thanks.

here is a pic of the drilled rotors as requested. combined with the metal master pads and the tire change, the stopping ability has truly improved!

its actually about 1" lower with the H&R OE springs. The reason it looks high is b/c the gap is large with the lower profile tires I used. I would rop the car with Eibach prokit except that my driveway wont allow it. oh well, reality bites, but i get the performace I want, and overall, it does not look too bad (see below for complete shot).

Nice car dude, I used to have the same, rotors and pads on my Legend. They really do work wonders on the stopping distance.
