Got my MT magazine yesterday. In the news column, it said the TLS 6 speed will be available on Fall 2002.

Wow, if it's true. We can really race the new 2002 Maxima.

 

It says the CL-S will have a six speed for sure...TL-S will PROBABLY have a 6 speed. It all depends on how well the manual CL-S sells.

 

Wow, this is like the 8th time we've gone over this. There is not going to be a 6-speed for the CL-S or the TL-S until 2003 at the earliest. I can't say for absolute certain, but it looks about 90% sure like there won't be one. Check with Wayne from Park Acura (either on this board or the CL board). He knows his stuff, and according to him, there's no sales code for the CL-S or TL-S 6-speed for 2002.... only auto with SS. The sales codes are usually in the system way before the release. Example... the sales code for the 2002 TL-S was in the dealers systems December of 2000, 4 months before the release, and about 1 month before its "Official" announcement........
