Question Motor Mount

So I bought a new front motor mount for my 2000 TL, and what they sent me appears to be a front motor mount for a 1999 TL. It has a vac line on it but it also has a rubber piece that sits on top of the mount.

I dont know why the 99 is different than the 2000-2003 front mounts, but will this mount fit/work just as well?

Strangely I got acura part number 50800-S0K-A82, thats what the sticker on the part says. I used Acura OEM parts . org to look up the part and it shows as the front mount for a 2003 CL !

This is actually the second time i sent this part back to the company and received this same part in a box labeled for a 2000 TL. I dont know if all of there products are miss boxed this way. But now I really dont know if this part will fit.

Edit:

When I directly looked up the 2003 CL on the same site there is no part number in the list that corresponds with that part number and none of the diagrams show a mount that looks like that.

I have a picture of my new rear mount for the 200oTL if this helps. It looks excatly like the original one I am removing today. My front had more of a letter C shaped metal top so that the open part of the "C" let the engine bracket sit inside it. The rear sits on top of the flat metal head of the mount. Both mounts have a position tab that the bracket sits on so you knonw you are centered.

Answer

After searching around, i found that the part number 50800-s0k-a02 is the new part number for "new and improved" mount for 2000-03 TLs. There is an acura service bulletin on this.

http://www.in.honda.com/Rjanisis/pubs/SB/B06-014.PDF

It states to use this part number. It explains the normal procedure for diagnosing a broken motor mount (front).

So does your front mount look like the one in the service buliten? Thats the front that I discribed looked like a "C" shown in the bulletib. Is the C the new mount or old front mount?

The mount I have does not look like the one in the bulletin, however the part number in the bulletin does match the part that i have. My part has rubber on top like your rear mount although it looks different, it looks like a 99 mount. The mount currently in my car looks like the one in the bulletin.

I still think i have a 99 mount that was labeled for whatever reason with this new part number. I tend to believe that the new version mount- A02 should look just like the old 2000 mount A01, as it is shown in the service bulletin.

Its hard to believe they actually sent me this same part twice, boxed the same way for a 2000 tl and labeled with this new part number.

Does anyone know if 99 front mounts had vac lines, cuz this one does.
