Wow, the most I've ever put into my tank is 41 bucks. Next time you go that far off base I'd throw a couple full gas cans in the trunk.

So $100US for 50 litre of fuel?

And I thought we were getting killed on the fuel price in Canada.

I suddenly feel a lot better about being Her Majesty's Canadian subject.

I can drive 20km down south and fill up in the US.

Off topic but what happened to the fence that used to surround Stonehenge? Remember parking on one side of "motorway", walking under road via tunnel and peering over fence erected to keep public from taking souvenirs. Not too long until summer solstice when the hippies gather to watch sun come up thru stones. JC

The light rail system is looking better and better as each day goes on here..but damn...ain't as fun as my car!

Gotta love premium, but hell...it's high either way! I remember doing road trips in the 90's and filling up in Arkansas for 89 cents a gallon...95 cents for premium....I don't think we'll ever see that again. Hell, Europe is like 4-5 bucks a gallon essentially, so I'm really shouldn't be complaining!!

I agree. It is only going to get worse, but If I spent $100.00 filling up my car, I would pitch a fit too. I saw $40 on my last fill up, and I will gladly take that over $100 anyday. Good Ole' cheaper than most USA petro. Thanks for sharing this. StoneHenge looks awesome.

Heh, I can't complain at all. If all I do is drive back and forth to work, I can go about 2 months on a tank of gas. Even with all the little trips and running into "town" to get stuff I still rarely fill up more than once every 2 weeks.

I agree we have it good (there is a reason) but not picking on you it does not have to go up for now...WE have resources and if we drill where we can and if we would build a refinery now and again our prices would stabilize....(not to mention stopping the funding of the terrorist supporting countries) right now our refinery capability is at a point where we have to import refined oil (gasoline).....

do not fall for the crap of well they pay $4-8 a gallon/liter so I guess $3 a gal is OK…we could do better if our representatives (both sides) quit playing to their base let the market get with it…OH do not forget that the largest profit per gallon is made by our government (state/fed) with no at risk capital...

OK no more rant…

Yup us Cali guys seem to have it the worst in the U.S. Although I was in Seattle this past weekend and it was almost as high as Cali. Last fill up at Shell was $50 bucks for premium. 50 bucks every other week is starting to kill me financially.

the fence goes around the whole prarie it lays on.. when you go thru the tunnel it goes under the road, and pops up under the other side of the fence. stone henge is kinda earie... for about 30 min. then it just becomes a pile of rocks. tho it was still cool as hell to see it. next month we drive to lock ness.. lookin for nessy. ill take plenty of pics.

i see that you stay in houston as well as i do. if it cost you $45 to fill up 3/4 of a tank, something must be wrong then. gas station probably wanging you.

When your over in England your amazed at all the small cars on the road and diesels, diesel cars and diesel vans. Then when you go to fill up you realize why. We drove all week in our diesel van before we had to fill it up but it was a shock when we did. It's just a matter of time before it catches up to us here in the US. Makes me glad my TL gets 30 mpg on the highway!!

SO true. I'm at a little over $50 for a bone dry fill up. But, it's hard to complain
car wise since the TL is amazingly efficient fuel wise. I recently took a flat all
highway trip and for a 250 mile stretch got in the neighborhood of 29-30 MPG!

And that was cruising 70-75 MPH!

Bet we clip $4 a gallon within a year.
