Well, it turns out that I know the guy.. I KNEW IT.. I had such a feeling that I know him. He told me to come to his store, which is what I did, he saw me, realized he knew me..First thing he said was "oh, you're the wiseguy".. We went to look at the car, then he asked to see the estimate. I showed it to him. Then He tells me to take the car to Meyer's Automotive( a friend of his, who I also know).. I told him that he will give me a higher estimate! This guys repair shop is a few blocks from my house, so it's not much of an inconvenience to go and get another estimate from him. He does good work, but it would take him like 2 weeks to paint the bumper, and he would probably charge double. So I told him all this and said I have no problems taking to it Meyer, but it will cost more. You want to pay more? He went into his pocket and gave me $200 cash. End of story.

P.S. I was planning on having my bumper sprayed when I take it in to fix the trunk before this incident..it's the only part of my car that has scratches on it from stones, bugs, curbs, driveways..so it's ok, I just don't have to pay out of my pocket this time!

Ed....I feel for you...I just got my bumper fixed..My idiot's neighbor's son hit my rear bumper when he was pulling out of the driveway. He told me to go to Acura...which I did..Rallye Acura said it would cost $810 to repaint my bumper....WOW!!!..I went to 3 different body shops... Atlantic Auto....Gufferie Collision....Dentz Unlimited and ..they ranged about $225-$300..

I went with Atlantic Auto on 88th and 7th....Great Job...!!! Just like brand new...I was kind of happy because I was planning on repainting my rear and front bumper but now all I have to pay for is the front....
