I have some quick questions. For anyone who has a current Acura warranty and has made mods to their TL, does it void your warranty to put in say for instance i/h/e or a mugen spoiler? Any thoughts or advice would be greatly appreciated. I called my local acura dealer and when I asked them about my warranty if I added an aftermarket exhaust, they snootily replied that it would void my powertrain warranty. This might have to do with the fact that I am 18 and drive a TLS. I am really getting annoyed with the dealer. I had headers, exhaust, etc. and my tranny died. They never questioned me about the mods at all. I guess it is up to the dealer, but if your tranny dies, there is much ammo here to go after the dealer.

I think my "modding" days are over

My TL-S was modded to the max, and they all went away when I sold it. I am waiting for nicer weather to post pictures of the Q. I must admit that I miss my TL-S a bit. It was really a great car.

I only wish that Acura was selling the 04 TL-S in March like the did the last 2 years, I probably would have bought one. As it was, I could not wait. The Q is pretty shrap, however, although it is bigger! and more $$$.

Oh I love the Q45 headlights, I got my ass blinded the other day by one. Mods don't void your warrenty unless they can prove that the mod caused your car to fail. I'm not too sure of exhaust but I got headers put in (by the dealer) and its under warrenty. I been told aftermarket exhaust do void your powertrain warrenty before too, so I haven't replaced mine even tho I liked to. I guess its up to the dealer to decide if you have some kind of problem.

oh and I don't see how a spoiler would void any warrenty (shrugs)
