Mixing Oils
Can different oils be mixed. For example. I have some Mobil 1 left over and our RSX is due for a oil change. Can I put Mobil 1 (fully syn). With Castrol GTX (pretty such dino oil). I wouldnt mix but I have both those oils left, and they make enough for one oil change.

The oils are mixable- for a one time thing- go ahead
It should sy on the synth bottle- compat with all oils

While oils CAN be mixed---- due to the additives being different in each maker- I would avoid it- you're not doing the car any favors
If you want to be purple powered- buy another 4 qts

let's put it this way...syn power and royal purple doesn't make a big difference even u mix them together, it's just oil and as long as u do an oil chnage on schedule it won't hurt
if u put Motul 300V or Redline then it will make a big difference in horsepower coz they are ester based 100% synthentic but they are going twice as much as mobil 1, i used to put on my TL but i found Amsoil is a pretty good alternative compare with all those coz of its combination of price and quality cannot beat

Well ... technically, there is some remnants left from the previous oil fill ... the manual says to use the dipstick to determine what "max fill" is ... it's too much a pain in the ass to do that. I filled 5 quarts since I didn't want to leave a part bottle in my house and wait until the next oil change.

And when that matters to an acura owner....
Mix and match- I leave that to the high paid chemist at the oil company
Each brand has so many proprietary addatives going on- I would resist the urge to experiment with the LifeBlood of the car
