Mileage/DoB check
i am curious on the mileage and Dob on ur cars.. see how people are doing and how the car is running
i bought my car april 8, 2001 . i have 27,000 miles.
so far so good except tires are dead. 2nd time the front brakes going, and a new tranny.

Mileage: 16,200 (approx.)
Problems: Nothing major...had a solenoid go bad but that's getting replaced under warrenty and did not effect the car at all except for an annoying ticking sound at idle. Other than that...no problems...knock on wood.

Best mpg: 29.65 on a long trip to El Paso, TX and back to Livermore, CA.
A few squeaks, rattles, noises when brand new
. All fixed by dealer.
Currently no problems and I love my TLS.

I got mine 4/24/01. I now have about 43,500 miles on it. I've really slowed down (only about 1000 miles in the past couple of months) and have taken a new job that is only 2 miles from my house so it looks like I'll no longer be the mileage leader.

2002 DEP TLS w/ Navi

Major problems I ever had stemmed from after market comptech spring and anti sway bars install.
- slipped CV joint ball bearing - fixed by dealer ( replaced cv
joint).
- Sqeaky anti sway bar bushing - fixed by dealer.
Just had my 15000 mile check up....
- replaced front rotor (which were warped, expected since I drive pretty hard...)
- Lubed every thing...
I have had no problems that originated from faulty Acura factory work.
I LOVE MY CAR...
BTW, gonna use that spring FAQ to do my own koni yellow shock install, for my birthday, should be fun...

Best MPG: 32.88 on road trip
Worst MPG: 17.41 driving like a bat out of hell, hehe
Problems... Only cosmetic (back seat, scratches, etc)... ohh and the ever so common moon roof rattle.
No tranny failure, rotor warp, etc... (yet)
Every day I continue to love to drive this car

Just had my one year checkup/chassis lube. Fixed sqeaky sunroof, which has been the ONLY squeak or rattle on this car.

Problems: center console won't stay closed; moonroof squeaking; steering slightly vague periodically, all to be fixed/looked at by dealer on 7/9
I love my TL, I look forward to driving it every day, and I often try to find excuses to get behind the wheel or look at it.

mpg 28 - still get that on longer trips
city driving average 20 mpg
problems fixed: - sun roof rattle
to be fixed/check by dealer (if I find the time!)
- front windshield rubber surround coming off
- high beam switch sometimes won't switch
- constantly low front left tire since new

Problems: Airflow "doo-hickey" died (warranty);
Rubber gasket around windshield like to get out of place during washing; hissing sound after gunning the engine in park or neutral. (anybody know what that is?)
