The other day I pulled into a parking spot, shut the car down and I guess I went to far in with the key, it wouldnt turn from I to where I could pull the key out! It was stuck! I could rotate it forward to start the car, I put it in reverse, then forward back into the same parking spot, but rotating it back would shut the engine and get stuck in the accessory position and get jammed. The key looked farther in the hole too.
Tick off, I started the car again, pulled out of the spot, went to another parking spot (to drive the car) and sure as shit, the lock worked and was able to pull the key out.
I know it wasnt the steering wheel lock, because I played with that too.

yea my cars really picky. It only lets me park at the isolated sections of lots so theres no risk of neone damaging it.

You sure you didnt accidently turn off the car while in park? The key will not come out unless the the gear is in park. I accidently did this once and was wondering WTF and I realized my own stupidity

Did you forget to put the car into park? That happens when it is still in drive, you can not pull the key out.

hmm...

I thought I was in park. Or if not, I put it there...
No wait...
I had started the car again, reversed and pulled back into the same spot and it was still stuck!
Only when I moved spots, did it work again! Weird!
