Medical Excuse for Tinting
#3
Can it be something like office worker syndrome? Cause like when you're in the office all day, every day, your eyes get used to flourescent lighting and the sunlight really hurts. Just a thought. You can say that you can't stand HIDs and must have tinting so you won't get blinded.

Tinting....
Not really worth the trouble even with the doctor's note you can't tint the front windows more than 70% in cali....
BTW-70% is very very light tint, without the note you can't tint the front windows at all.......

Problem with complaining about HID's is they are supposed to be easier on the eyes...all cars will have them soon enough!
I have a friend that had illegal tinting cause of a note from his dermitoligist. Specialists love to tell ya stuff is wrong with you, I'm sure we could all visit the dermitologist and get a note saying we need a higher tint to "protect" us from the sun!

Actually, there is a medical condition known as Xeroderma Pigmentosum, which is a genetic defect in the way your skin repairs itself following exposure to ultraviolet radiation (UVA and UVB) from the sun. The only problem with this condition is that it would be obvious if you had it (you would have to cover all of your skin, you would be very pale, and you might even have sores from exposure). Basically, if you look normal, you could never use this as an excuse (unless you look like Michael Jackson, who does not have this condition - sorry Mike).
If you do get pulled over, try speaking very loudly to the police officer, in a polite manner - as if you were talking but could not control your volume. Let them know that bright light scares you and the blinking blue and red from their car is making you even crazier. Try twitching your head when you do this. Will this work? Probably not, but let me know if it does!

Has anyone ever got a medical excuse for having illegal levels of tinting? If so, how do you go about getting it? Is it even possible? Thanks.

Shouldn't need it in California.... The laws changed back in January, you can now tint the front side windows meaning that you can tint every window except for the front windshield (don't know why anyone would want to do this.....

Supposedly it is not even a fix it ticket anymore, but a fine plus a court date...
I wish I were wrong, but I think that's how it is here in Ca.
Legally, I read on the dmv website that it is legal to tint the front if you have a note from your doctor, but it is illegal to drive your front tinted vehicle at night....
Go figure.. Can't win 'em all...
