ok guys sorry for the stupid questions or repetitive ones, ive been plaing with the idia of an intake and just wanan get some opinions here...
1. do most of u guys have intakes which start at the throtel body, and u have to reatach the exiting and sub exiting hoses??? or is the pipe after the throtel body to the filter, shorter...??

 

I installed mine different from the instructions, but felt more comfortable keeping the factory lines b/c my mechanic recommended it. Since the fluid through there is typically hot, I decide to keep the metal rather then running the rubber all the way....

hey juniorbean, from ur pics, it looks diff then mine, i have an 03 TLS, and the protion of the intake were teh pipes come in which u rewired, sorry not sure what the portion is called, on my car its plastic tube that ends on teh end of the battery and then another angle is attached which connects to the air box?? and in ur text u stated u dotn want plastic there before the throtel body, how come factory its like that or am i all messed up here, i need some help.

 

I'm kind of confused by your description... the inside of our engines should be the same as nothing changed from '02 to '03. My stock airbox is gone... it gets removed when you install the intake. Maybe if you can snap some pics and email them to me I can take a look and help you out.
