I see the ads in the newspapaer for a new maxima. I compares the engines of the maxima, TL and avalon. As if the avalon is in the same class of car going for the same type of person. Is the avalon trying to go for a younger crowd? My dad has one about 5 years old which is nice but not very sporty.

 

THe ONLY way to classify vehicles these days is by price. In that aspect, the TL, Maxima, Avalon, Diamante, etc. can be called comparable. We have this discussion all of the time on whether or not the 'Avalon is in the TL's class', and the short answer is it depends on what you are comapring. They both have 3+ liter V6s, leather, sunroofs, blah, blah, blah.
