k Kris.... i know YOU can or probably would do something like that.. but i notice u have the indigo gauges..... are they in proper alignment with the speed since a Tl going over 270 or even 280 in the pic is very unlikely....
now.... also lookin at the weather as well as the darkness of the windshield.. MAYBe and maybe ur just screwing around with us (like i probably did huh )..... but.. i think SOMETHING IS UP! hehe
either way... thats fast.. and u just had to go faster didn't u?!

eheh ya.. i figured those were his gauges but i got confused since it was low in KM... figured it was just his car.. and since he has the manual gearbox.. thought it might be possible.. oh well.. good laugh

I was just playing around with that pic. Thats fake. I havent had the 6 speed up beyond 140 yet. (snow tires) The old setup i had up to 154 (clocked on radar)
Oh and the needles didnt stick with the indaglo gauges.
Plus the TL is supposed to be governed at 149ish (though i never saw it on my tl-p) so you wouldnt get the needle that far any ways

You'd have to have some serious balls to even THINK about snapping a pic at those speeds anyhow. At least someone else would have to do it for ya....haha! maybe at 100 or 120ish max with the camera already in hand, beyond that is just insane!! LOL! Anyhow good gag, i almost believed it myself. didn't a few ppl already try this and top out somewhere between 135-140?

hehe ya.... well i thought i go for the max if i'm gonna do it! :P .... a good laugh! eheh.... and i'm sure there is a way to disable the govern on these cars considering the TL-P has a higher TOP SPEED then the TL-S .. which doesn't make any sense lol.. so a modded TL-P with headers/Intake will not only beat a TLS but keep gaining! lol...

There is even a video of mine where if you pause it just at teh right time you can see the needle beyond 145

Its in the ECU. unless someone comes up with a way to reflash our unflashable ECUs then no.

I agree with Kris about track days and performance driving schools being the place to exercise your cars improvements.
The thrill and skill of plunging deep into the braking area at 130 and bringing it down to 40 from the #2 brake marker to make the double apex Turn 14/15 and come out with 50 rpm more than last lap on that corners exit- which means a little faster at the end of the straight- maybe another 2 mph...always trying to go deeper faster harder
Those who only push the gas pedal on the street to go fast have no idea what fun these cars are on a closed race course where you are allowed all 35 feet wide of the roadway
Because of said training I find nothing scary or dangerous about ME going that speed.
The average person on the road- if only I could limit them to 55 or the bus!
Everyone should look up their local race track and see about driving schools- often have 1 day for 200-250 dollars- cheaper than a ticket and a pro race driver teaches you IN your car.

interesting... well i reached 260km/hr in my 03 TL and it looked like it could of kept on climbing too....
i stopped at 260 just cuz on my way to pick up my TL in a rental... i got pulled over for double+ the speed limit.... i got ass raped... ended up talking my way out of getting arrested adn ended up with a court date.
i've hit 260 twice, i really wanted to max it out but got chicken shit cus i dont' want another cop pulling me over at those speeds...
