it is a bad thing when you turn your car on, the maintenence required light blinks for a good minute after you turn the car on... but it goes away after a minute.... that is a bad sign right? its been going on for a week already and i wanna kno if my car is having problems or thats just normal...

its normal and has been discussed and beat to death. its in your manual. its supposeded to be a reminder to change your oil (when reset at oil changes)
press and hold your trip and reset buttons, then turn your key to the "RUN" position (not starting car) and continue to hold till light goes off.. it will take about 10 sec

 

What confuses me is why my maintenence light came on ~2k miles before it should have. I had my standard 60k service done (a few k early, actually) at the dealership a couple months ago, and the dealer was kind enough (har, har) to put a sticker in the corner of windshield informing me of the mileage at which the card should be brought back in. I guess I should just assume they were negligent in resetting the maintence light mile counter correctly? I haven't been very happy with Pflueger Acura in Hawaii, this is just one more mild irritant.

think light means its almost time for maintenance
