I have 6k miles on my car, just had the oil changed two weeks ago, and the indicator light is on now. The manual suggests that it is merely a reminder to change the oil (since I didn't have it done at Acura). Do you guys concur? If so, can I just reset it as it says in the manual? Sorry if this is an uneducated question...

 

yeh, that things only a reminder. its not telling you somethings wrong with the oil or whatever and that it needs changing immediately. just reset and youre good to go.

This light comes on for me every time I start the car for about a minute then goes off? Do I need to be concerned?

 

No, but pretty soon the light will stay on. Then just reset it. A couple of months later it will happen again. First the light will flash on a few times when you turn the car on and then eventually it will stay on again. As long as you keep changing the oil on time, just keep resetting the light.

 

yeah my light turned on yesterday but i have 60,000 miles and i tried to reset it like ten times but it wont. every time i turn on the car it blinks like ten times then turns off. im going to try to reset it again right now
