yes--its because you have driven 6500-7500 miles since last reset of oil change reminder light
thats all that light does- count miles since reset

reset procedure easy diy,
left hand thru top of steering wheel - push and hold both trip buttons IN
right hand turn key to ON, not start -- just so all dash lights come on
mait light will flash 10 times and go off
turn key off, release buttons - remove hands- done!

and get an oil change!

If it's the Maintenance Required Light, then it's just a dummy light that comes up every 6K miles from the last reset. To reset the light hold the "Select" and "Reset" buttons then turn the ignition to ON.

There's nothing wrong with your car.

Now if it's a Check Engine Light, then you'll need to pull the codes.
