Maint Req'ed Light

I have just over 6k miles and just right now, I've noticed that when I turn on the car the maint req'ed light blinks 10 times and then stops. I honestly have never noticed this before, should I there be a cause for concern...... should I take it in to the dealer?? Any feedback would be helpful.....

All you have to do is hold down the select and reset button for ten seconds, while your key is in the "ON" positon. It just a reminder to get a oil change, it will happen every 6k or so

Who is the person that is on this forum that always says (RTFM) its in the owners manual.
The light will blink everytime you start the car because its telling you your nearing 7,500 mile service. The light will blink untill you reset it. If you don't reset it & exceed 7,500 miles interval the light will remian on as a constant reminder for service.
Its normal for the light to come on its designed that way.
The light will blink between 6,000 to 7,500 miles it will do it every 6,000 to 7,500 miles after its reset. For instance if you have 7,000 miles on your car & reset the light. It will blink again at around 13,000 miles. I just had my 15K service done & the light had been blinking then stayed on because I exceeded 15,000 miles.
It was reset when service was done at 15,100 miles.I will see the light again at around 21,000 miles. This is to let you know that a major service is do at 22K. This service should be more than oil change depending on the mileage on the car. The light is just a reminder that service is do & you can reset it yourself if you wan't.
This info is in the owners manual its nothing to worry about .
