lose weight.
lose weight.
It would be common sense to say if the tl-s was about 250-400lbs lighter than it would be a true sports sedan like the Audi S4 or equivalent. so Does anyone know how to make the car lighter without sacrificing the quality of the car?

I'd suggest fiberglass hood, drop the spare as suggested, remove the back seat, lighter wheels (OZ or Racing Hearts @ 18"), race on empty all the time, remove the AC unit, remove all accessories from engine power ..

I think all of the above would work... but I also think it's a little rediculous. I mean, c'mon.. if you wanted more of a "true" sports sedan, you should have bought the Audi S4 or Lexus GS400/430......
w/o going crazy you can remove the spare, make sure you don't add anything heavy like a sub box, and get lighter rims.....

Centerline makes a 19x7.5 rim that weights less than 15 lbs now.
Don't forget to replace your battery with a light weight one.
Still, weight matters, but also the rotation the wheel has to go through......all in all, if you are looking for true speed, larger wheels are not going to help you out.....it's a fact.....how many drag cars do you see running around with 19s?
