Cool Looking to buy ASpec TL

Is there anything I should look for? I am fully aware of the transmission issue but that is why I may be purchasing refundable extended warranty to deal with that. Just sold my first gen CL so I need a car quick.

I am planning on spending 29300 CDN for it as it only has 40000kms on it. Do you think that is too much? I have looked for book value and it shows the A-Spec between 25000 and 27000. I will be using it as my daily driver so I expect to be putting a lot of miles on it. Any input will be helpful.

Cheers.

That sounds high to me ... but does that price include the extended warranty? I'm assuming you're getting it from a dealership.

that is too much for a used car, esp an old model

you can pretty much find some G35 or 350Z going for 32000-35000 for less km and it's hell a lot better car

I would think that it is too high as well. I was looking at a 2003 ASpec last July as well, and the car cost 30900CAD (listed for 34999, with upgraded interior and parking senor) before taxes and it has only 11000 on it. I did not buy it, since i still think that it is a bit expensive. I would not pay more that 27500 - 28000 before taxes.

Thanks people. I was kind of thinking that the price was too high. I am going to make an offer of about 27000 including taxes (does not include extended warranty) and see if the dealership bites. If not, and based on your suggestions, I am going to walk and look at an G35X or 325Xi.

Cheers

P.S. Any inputs on the G35 or 325Xi would be appreciated also.

I'd get the G35 over the BMW - you don't want to own a german car out of warranty

Screw the Aspec, just get a TL Type S, you could pick one up for mid 20's and mod it to look like this!

Thanks for the pic hemants. I did put a bid for the ASpec but I think someone beat me to it. Anyways, it looks like there are some other Type S popping up now and will also be driving a used G35x as well.
