i know the last member who had them said he was happy, but those welds look a little suspect to me. i dunno. i like that they are a cost effective alternative, but i think i will wait and see what happens with them for a bit first. enjoy! hope they treat you well!

well, personally i have seen some cleaner welds (and some very bad ones). i'm not claiming i'm qualified to do a photo inspection though. i'll just wait and see what happens. the alpha werks could very well outlast comptech headers. who knows. personally i hope they do because i would like to buy a set since they're cheap

ps - how many of you guys have installed headers yourself? would you do it again or take it to a shop? personally i think i would try it myself since i have the tools.

Its a great feeling when you get something in the mail other than a bill... its even better when its a set of headers!

i had my mechanic install them for me and it only took him about 45 mins... but if you know what you are doing you might be able to get them in yourself.

I got 2 sets from a guy in Florida. Can't tell you how much but it was cheap. Mine was listed for Accord V6 but it fits ours since Comptech headers listed the same part no for both TL and A-v6.

I got them form the exact same guy A-spec or something like that. $300 bucks and he said if there are any problems whatsoever to bring them back. Guy was really cool and hooked it up like a Fother Mucker. I've had these on for almost a month and at high RPM's my car accelerates much better. No problems so far and hopefully never will be any. My fingers are crossed since these headers are pretty much an experiment on their durabilty since me and maybe 2 or 3 other TLers have them.

Anyone looking to buy a set of these. The guy still has one more set left for $350 shipped.

Contact him at dohcgarage@aol.com

It might take him a couple of days to respond due to Hurricane Jeane.

good luck

i dun know...BUT, those look just like my OBX (welds, gasket, even the wrapping) exept his has a plate that says Alpha Works in the same place and style like mine said OBX racing or something like this. this looks very suspicious, but if anything you wont regret the purchase even if they break 2years from now!!

i did my headers 2months ago so i have a fresh image of what they looked like.

*try looking "Alpha Works Accord V6" on ebay

there hasn't been any alphawerks headers on since the "bust." Nexus Industries caught wind of the lowered prices and has since remedied the problem. If you look for alphawerks headers on ebay now you will not find any for sale anymore. The people who purchased them when they where cheaP *awsome* for the rest of us going through wheelsnext.com and speedstash.com are a few ways that i know of, however, they are backordered due to supply and demand...

well about 450 is not bad either cause maybe this is better quality than the obx so it would be very suspicious if its price at 300 like the obx.. So 450 or is no complaint from me.. wish is was 400.00 though

Well, finished installing the headers yesterday. Everything fit perfectly, no mod require. I can feel the increased response during acceleration. The headers are starting to bronze. I think i might have to re-tighten everything down after a couple of days of driving. Otherwise no issue. I didn't even have problem gettting the O2 sensor out of the old pipes.
