Lexus GS 300

I was thinking of trading my TL for something else. Looked at GS 300 but something wouldn't let me like it more than TL. I'm not ready to spend money on LS430. What would you guys trade your cars in for in the $30-$40k price range.

If you are going to trade in your TL, at least move up to a GS430. That is one sweet car. It might be a little expensive but it's worth it. The GS300 is just like the TL but more expensive due to some would say better quality but the power is at or below the TL.
But your best bet between the $30-$40K is a BMW 330CI. That car is awesome but quality-wise, it's iffy.
BTW, why not a TL-S???

I would definitely go with 325ci or 330ci. Those pix are M3 with AC kit, but with a 325i or 330ci a lot of kits would just look awsome.

Seems like ur lookin to spend around $40k.
Well, GS300 is nice and that would prob be one of my top choices.
However, depending on whether ur looking for more performance or lux u might want to look at:
loaded up C320 around $40-42k
S4, great car around pricerange, but everybody and their mothers got an A4/S4
Same for 330
A6 might not be a bad choice. Exterior looks are nice and car has a great interior too. But theres questionable reliablility.
BMW530 is also good for that money. Especially with a sport package, those cars look sweeet.
If it were my $40k I'd get either a loaded MB C320 or a BMW 530 with sport package and a couple optioins.
But its you call.

I'm looking more so at luxury and ride comfort but I do want some sport also. These are what I'm considering. TL-S, Lexus GS300, BMW 330, Lincoln LS V-8 this one is about to be 0'd off the list, MDX, E-320 C320. I'm in the insurance business and still trying to grow the business. I want a car that says professional but I don't want it to scream I'm rich, mainly because I'm far from it, and I don't want to scare customers off by driving a hi dollar car too soon.

I do like the GS and just don't think I like it based on looks more than I do TL, however I must admit I'm yet to drive it. One of my clients is a Rep at the local Lexus dealer and he has had 2 GS's and he says he loves them both. He also has a Lexus SC 400.

I would say MB C320 AMG (very good luxury and fast), but if you are going to carry people, the C320 is not too big. A GS 430 might be your best selection.

Rickslick the GS looks like no other car on the planet so it is kinda polarizing (ugly to some) but EVERYONE knows what it is, I strongly suggest driving one, it is not slow and very luxerious and solid as granite. I am positive you will leave impressed.

There are many cars in this $$$ range if u really wanna save some dough and get a good car and OLDS Aurora have some killa deals.

GM has decided to axe the brand "Oldsmobile" sometime in 2003 or 2004. I don't expect GM to continue to push out great cars as in the other surviving divisions.

Bitium, no offense but the GS430 is a huge jump. Even if he traded in his TL and got sticker ($29k) he'd still need another $30k for the 430. I'm assuming he wanted to spend $40k total, not in addition to his trade.

No offense, but can't anybody make up their own minds anymore ? You asked for it Rick - now you're probably more confused than before.

Get a pink Pontiac Aztek !! I may point and laugh when you pull up next to me, but at least I'll respect you for having a mind of your own.

No, I'm saying you don't own a GS300!

Agreed, not worth the 10K premium, but otherwise very nice car...sortof.
