A tap & die set just makes threads on something that doesn't have threads. I was kidding though you don't wanna do that. It would be waaaayyyy to low.

Ridindurty good job on the advice, cause I didn't even do that but that probably would have been a better idea then what I did. Oh and what kind of camera are you using?

I dont like my shift knob too low, i usually rest on to it when I drive, just to use it as a handrest support.

Even if it's low you can still do that. I do that all the time. Even though it's an automatic I can't take my hand off the shifter. I always drive with my left hand on the wheel.

Thats a good question lol. It's my dads camera i used. Its some expensive ass Cannon. He traded 2 Rolex watches for it. The watches cost about $3500 total so i would say the camera is up there too lol. My dad has an obsession for photography. When i get my WW kit and WW wing painted im taking a photo shoot with it

hell yeah. B&M came out so clear on your shifter. I felt like my car was a disposable. But now I don't feel as bad. My camera was 300 but that's nothing compared to 3500. Cant wait for your photoshoot then.

I take it you modified the stereo surround for the OEM one?

Nice interior man!

Oh and you could also use a dremel or something like that to cut it.

i was the first one who did this tho nobody wanted to do it.. for having balls i called it the 'ghetto short-shifter mod'

A few guys got theirs from ebay, but I got mine from a local aftermarket store near my house. I'm sure if you just do a google search you can find a place that sells them.

alright! it's weird how the smallest details can make a big difference sometimes. I got it on eBay but i'm sure if you Google it you wont have a hard time finding it.

The Razo Executive Shift Knob does come in several colors. I personally have the Black Wood to match my interior. Here are the choices:

Can't PM, but fsttyms1, a 2G DSM shift knob might look nice with your setup I am a bit partial to them since both my 1G and 2G have them, grey/black in color, and good weight. Not sure of the thread pitch...

I cut it 3/4"

Best way to see how far down you can cut it is this: Put the car in 1st gear. Measure just how much room you have between the bottom of your shifter and the top of the shift gate. Let me give you an example.

I used a hacksaw but I was told you could also use a Dremmel with the right cutting wheel. Dremmel is quicker/easier but you get metal debris everywhere. Hacksaw takes longer but you get a nice and neat stack of metal sheets in one area instead of the rest of the car
