My Piaa foglights is only 2 months old.But both lens cracks at the sametime by water spray on it for car wash.Do you think that because the lens is still hot and water is too cold?That almost for sure.But what about rain,slow....

 

Are you sure it's the water? My foglight lens is cracked, but it's because of rocks.

 

I am 100% sure,because i heard the cracked sound.

 

then email piaa service and tell them how after running the lights for a while and some cold water sprayed on them and they cracked, they should send you new ones...

 

I'm still waiting for PIAA reply,today is the second day.I'll let you guys know how is the service of PIAA

 

Third days,still no response from PIAA!

 

After Fouth business days, still no response.Think it over if you want to buy PIAA.

 

Happy to see PIAA reply,although not really help at this moment,but at least there is response.

Here is my PIAA 004X

 

Hm.. I have friends with PIAA, CATZ, and some other projector type fogs... and many of them cracked theirs by accident(washing cars)....

Those projector fogs get VERY HOT after use... so, never ever wash the car right the way, it would crack the fogs...

Call them !!! They will send you out new housings. Don't be afraid to talk on the phone

That what PIAA says today
Our lights can handle heavy rain, but if the lights are on, or have been on and they are engulfed in water for a long period of time they will crack. It's like when a hot glass is dipped into cold water and it shatters. It's not the water that bothers them as much as how long they are engulfed in the water. This is typically not covered under our warranty, but if you can leave us your address we'll have them replaced for you.

 

Where did you buy them at?

 

I bought them at Auto Parts an Accessories Direct.PIAA just send me an e-mail (We'll have new lamps sent right out to you)I'll let you guys know when i receive them.

 

would it be easier to take it back to the store for an exchange?
