A lemon???
It depends on which state you live in, but usually, if the vehicle has been in the shop for 30 days during the first year, or the dealership(s) could not fix a major problem in 3 attempts, then you could file for lemon and go from there.
These conditions do not automatically guarantee a lemon case, and a buy-back. You have to go through litigation and have to fight the company. Nobody's willing to pay out tens of thousands of dollars without a fight; otherwise they will have a lemon case like everyday.
If you think you have a good case, then contact the Attorney General's office and ask for the proper procedure. Or you could ask a lawyer who is familiar with this field of work.
