LED Turn Signals and Backup Bulbs?

LED Turn Signals and Backup Bulbs?
has anyone used the LED Turn signals from LEDtronics as their turn signals and backup bulbs?
i'm guessing these things are bright as hell, but i don't know if installing them will cause any problems with our electrical systems... as almost 50-60 bucks per bulb, I wanna make sure before I make any crazy investments

Here's a thread that talked about LEDs and the last person responded also mentioned your website. Even though they are pretty pricey, I'm seriously considering buying them. However, my friend whom recommended the Coolspots to me says he'll give me lifetime warranty. They also cost $50. The Ledtronics cost around the same but only give you 3 years warranty. Anybody with these installed?

Those bulbs are expensive alright, but with build in resistant, it should eliminate having fast-blinking signal lights some owner experience with LED bulbs...
I am considering those as well, but might look for other alternatives first.....

If they dont blink retarded like the APC led's do then they may be worth it. Also they have light around the sides where as cheaper led bulbs just project forward which makes no sense for our tailamps. Our tails actually work by the back of the lens reflecting light out facing the traffic behind you. Many led bulbs look like a round spot lighting up. They arent brighter because the light isnt focused and amplified by the mirror lens behind the bulb. I wonder how these look.

What other alternatives are you looking at Andy? The only ones I know now are: Ledtronics, Coolspots, and Jam Straits. I don't like the JS because they don't carry yellow and I'm not too fond of the other funky colors. Pricewise, JS is the most attractive though. I'm probably gonna end up going with the Coolspots. Nobody ever heard of this brand?

The purpose of LED lights are that they light up considerably faster than normal light bulbs, and usually last much longer as well..... that's why some high end luxury cars are switching to LED taillights.....

A LED, light emitting diode, is a semiconductor p-n junction which is fabricated using silicon and dopants like gallium arsenide. When a sufficient voltage is applied across the p-n junction, a depletion region is formed across the junction and electrons are induced to flow across the junction. The excited electrons emit light as a by product as they fall from their excited state to their former resting state.
LEDs produce typically a very specific wavelength of light and very little heat (infrared light) and are therefore very efficient. They are available in red, blue, amber, green, and white (which is really a blue LED mixed with other chemicals) Since there is no filament to burn out like in an incandescent lamp, a LED lasts almost indefinitely. LEDs turn on and off rapidly, for the same reason. The two biggest enemies of LEDs are too much current and static shock. So make sure you use a resistor to limit the current and try not to touch the LED leads unless you're grounded.

Everything is still working real well with the video on the navi for me. It's a real classy add-on.

In reply to my other post iI did get use of my 1157 led bulbs , since I have 02 taillights for some strange reason they worked in the 1156 sockets and are visible from all angles due to the refractor inside the housing so if anyone is looking to upgrade their rear turn signals and have 02 tails the APC 1157 will work but you do have to grind off the upper tab and your signals do blink faster than normal but creates a nice affect due to the non fading of the led's --- ok im done
