Unfortunately you can't do all red....some buttons have a blue filter installed, so red will be filtered out when lit. I tried to remove the blue filter but I ended up screwing up the label altogether.....but with that experience I had another thought........

There is sort of another way........but it might look ghetto. My dimmer switch label which I had to custom make as that was my guinea pig and it was screwed up....the replacement I made turned out nicely....and I now can have red installed.

The 3rd gen TLs use a string of lights, I believe, or so I've been told by Acura, but I've never had the pleasure of taking apart a 3rd gen(dealers tend to frown when you take apart a loaner).

those dealerships... so if the LEDs in those kits aren't bright enough, are there brighter bulbs that I could buy that would match the blue in 3Gs better? I just want to know if the colors are noticably different... If the blue isn't similar to that of 3Gs (the blue in the photos on LEDautomotive's website looks very dull), I'm not even going to risk wasting my time or parts by trying

If there are brighter bulbs that I can buy, will I run into trouble with fitting them like truexh did in the thread gaping46and2 linked to? this is an intriguing idea and I'd love to go through with it, but like I said, I don't want to screw up and fry something, especially if the color's not what I'm looking for

what do you mean I cant do all red.....I thought that blue filter could be taken out like in the DIY of the LEDautomitive website....I remember I think they take it out, and which ones cant I do red....I was gonna do the radio red and all the other button......And how did CaliChris do all of his buttons white? I think if he could do white, Red would be possible.

There are certain switches that the blue filter is not removeable, i.e: fogs, sunroof, vsa/cruise. The ring around the climate knobs are also not removable. Other than that, the radio, climate buttons and gauges are removeable.

Some filters are removable, but some are painted right on the label. The only buttons that have the blue filter that cannot be removed (yet) are dimmer, fog, sunroof, cruise, and for 99 model the power window main switch.

Hmmm......I actually used nail polish remover to remove that green and red filter on the shift gate thing...I bought SubtleDreamers thing but when I actually took out the stock shifter, I looked closely and I knew I could take it off with the remover...if you have your stock shifter and look on the underside youll see what Im talking about......Im thnking maybe I could do that. If anyone has there stock shift gate indicator, tell me if its the same type filter as those buttons if you would be so kind thanks.
