LED Foglight from Hamony

wuddup fellow TL owners. Just wanted to let you all know that I have just put in my LED foglight that I got from hamony about a week ago. It looks awesome. My foglight looks more like the 6000k HIDs that other people have for a fraction of the price. Although it does not give much reflection off the road but I just did it for the look. Awesome job Hamony. I highly recommend it. Anyone else got them?

Cool, but now doesnt that make your head lights look like Halogen now? You put 6000K next to ne thing lower in the HID spectrum, its going to look like Halogen.

I purchased a set of these and they look freakin HOTTT!!! They are not hard to install at all, just remove one bolt underneath fog light housing and then pop out the whole housing, then you remove your old 9006 bulb and replace it with the new LED one's. Mthutch (hamony) is correct about not really illuminating the road, but I wanted the look. They are bright as hell with a slightly blue hue to them. I have noticed like another member of this board did as well that people do seem to move out of your way when your behind them. Thanks Mthutch (hamony) for a great mod...

yea my fogs are whiter than my low beams but i dont mind though. it still looks hot though. i especially like the little bit of blueness from the LED. it makes my car more noticable on the road. i've had a lot of people taking second looks at it.

So they look cool, but put out no real useable light on the road??

I'll pass on this one, I like having real lights on my car. Its kind of like the CL's. Whats the point of that light if its not providing any extra light up the road for you at all???

Did you ever figure some people that have TL's don't necessarily need their foglights..and instead of having it off..why not have it on..better yet! Lets change the color so it looks better...

Well said! I am getting tired of my bulb kept blowing out almost every 8-12 months or driving with one fog lights .I kept driving without fog lights for a year or so until I found out there are high power 8mm white LEDs that are very bright and I started to play around with them and that
is how I came up with this mod. Like `ill*tl
said if you don't use your fog lights why not making them to look cool. And the best part is that you will never have to change the bulb again for 11 years!

I'll have to go with Mr Hyde but I'm not bashing Hamony's product (it's just not for me). I need the extra light at night so I could see potholes.

Alexx,
I am making available option for those who is interested. A lot of people like yourself like to use fog lights to illuminate the road. I am just rying to come up with something difference and unique and at the same time make a little extra money.

I like your LED fogs, I probably would've bought them if:

1. I didn't really need my fogs (as mentioned before I need to lookout for potholes)

2. I had stock bulbs

3. My 9006 access point wasn't sealed with my own project:

If it's one thing I know about the TL, its the foglights. I'm currently working on replacing the yellow film with yellow glass pieces inside the foglight around the metal heatshield/condom

Just need to find some yellow glass

Hey Alexxx, Was that yellow film like a 3M Poly or something similar (inside or outside the lens?) ??

Looks sharp.

Thanks, the film is outside, monokote yellow transparent.

Currently trying to find yellow glass so I can get rid of the yellow look and build a dome around the bulb itself inside the foglight with this yellow glass.

No I didn't notice you, when was it? I didn't know if you were still around or even had the TL. What happened to your front bumper?

It's different, I like his idea too. His is cheaper and also eye catching (most people don't need the fogs anyway)

the reason why they hardly put out any light is because LED's focus the lite directly infront of them. if you were to bend the leads on the LED's and make them point at the reflector then they will shine brighter.
