according to the webpage, there is no modification needed. it seems like a pretty cool project, but yeah, it would be time consuming.

there's no 'modification' but you need to take all the mounts out and resolder resistors and leds to them. im guessing but that seems like it would be the same 'nate' that did his tl a while back?

anyways its interesting if you want something to do. im considering it, however with a radar detector, indiglows and soon to be a new headunit, colormatching is a asshole as it stands.

Doesn't all modifications include some kind of effort to acheive results? I have to laugh at that when someone says its a shit load of work.
It also takes effort to chrome out your shift plate, install a skirt kit (especially on 02+ with drilling and all), blacken out your headlights, install fog kit or install new HIDs, spoiler, paint calipers, install a new sound system, install cold air kit, remove resonator, and wash and wax your car. Need I go on?

Yes it does take some time and patience, but for one I'm sure glad I dont have that bloody stinkin yellow/green colour anymore. And if your wondering, it took me a night to complete the project. Now that I have completed the project, I have found a few things I would do differently that could speed the process up. Still a one day project is acceptable isn't it?

I just received all my LEDs in the mail today so I will be undertaking the mod starting maybe even tonight. NATE, the guy who operates the LED site is very cool to work with.

Actually this Nate isn't the same one you are thinking about (I know because I asked him if he was) but in any event I honestly dont think the mod is that complex if you take your time.
Remember you dont have to do it all in one day. I did a remote radar into my speedo gauge when I first got my car (posted pics of it 3 years ago) and I drove around for 3 days with the dash off while doing that install. Just unscrew the clock, climate controls and odometer switches from the dash panel (thats how they are attached) and you can just sort of shove them into the dash opening so they will be functional in the mean time. May look like like crap for a day or two -- but so what! It will all be just a distant memory when you are finished up and everything is glowing brightly with LEDs. BTW, I have a Premier head unit, the DEH940, that just happens to have all blue LED accents so at least in my car the head's gonna match the dash. Thats part of the reason I wanted to do the conversion, that, and I can't stand the old-school yellow lightbulbs in the dash when every new car on the road, including the accord, has such bright dash illumination.

no modification for odometer and gauge lights. Climate control you'll have to solder your face out doin all that. Id get the odometer LEDs to match my gauges but it looks like its got hot spots.

Tatewaki, again, that interior is frickin beautiful, Id love to replace the baby shit green with that nice ass blue.

Well I've started on my conversion this evening, starting with the solder work for the leds for the sunroof / cruise / fog light switches. Once I get to the odometer I'll make modifications to the kit as needed to avoid hotspots and let you know what you'll need to do. The climate control (non Nav) will be brighter than the clock when you start out with the kit due to how the OEM lighting works (clock has a single bulb on the left side and works by refelecting the light all the way down to the other side of the clock display, while climate control display is lit up directly from behind at a few points. I'll experiment with different resistor values, or tilt the LEDs so they give of a difuse illumination rather than a spot of light. Other possibilities will include semi opaque white plastic film or even a little black marker on the LEDs at just the right points.
